Nine artists present their work around the theme of “fantasy worlds” in the centre for visual arts Corrosia! in Almere, the Netherlands. Next to the exhibition, workshops around the same theme are presented and related movies projected.
A fantastic exhibition with a fantastic title: “Grow Ups”, a show about growing up, almost reaching adulthood. This project revolves around fantasy figures, huge stuffed animals, psychedelic landscapes and loads of colour. A new generation of artists shows their works based in between serious and naive art. Inspired by the contemporary world of music, comic books, movies and all kinds of subcultures like tattoo art and custom culture, this expo features the art of Iris, Maoma, Nanna Koekoek, Merijn Hos / Bfree, Lennard Schuurmans, Mark Verhaagen, Cirque de Pepin, Ingrid de Lugt and Wayne Horse
